Brand Description

Piero Fornasetti was a Milanese painter, sculptor, interior decorator and printer of books. His creative output, handed down and reinterpreted today by his son Barnaba, is composed of a visual vocabulary that is instantly recognisable. Fornasetti conveys a sense of the poetic and magical through its depiction of a dream world filled with whimsical humour. The ‘Fornasetti Profumi per la Casa’ collection brings this unique world to life through a selection of hand crafted and scented decorative objects.

Fornasetti Profumi introduces the ‘Flora’ Diffusing Sphere into the ‘Flora di Fornasetti’ olfactory collection. The ‘Flora’ Diffusing Sphere design is a classic ‘Tema e Variazioni’ (Theme & Variations) re-working of the iconic face of Lina Cavalieri with a floral and bee motif. The decorative diffuser recreates the imagery of a bouquet of flowers, so fresh and so inviting that even bees are fooled by its natural aspect and are all drawn to it. This visual deception is re-enforced by the olfactive trickery of the floral scent coming from the over-sized 'charcoal-like' diffusing reeds: Flora di Fornasetti being the scent of the Fornasetti gardens at spring time. ‘Flora di Fornasetti’ is a beautiful and elegant white floral bouquet. The scent is inspired partly by the lush flora that fills the gardens that envelope the Fornasetti house in Milan but also by the floral imagery created by Piero Fornasetti and taken from the vast archive. ‘Flora di Fornasetti’ is a voluptuous melange of floral, green and woody notes including ivy, lily of the valley, iris, jasmine, tuberose, sandalwood and musk. ‘Flora di Fornasetti’ was created by perfumer Emmanuel Philip, the name behind many of the iconic scents created for French candle maker Cire Trudon.
